"Great Race" By Bill Harris

This was my seventh marathon, my slowest , and I loved this one the best. The scenery is spectacular, the volunteers were super(thanks to them all), and the finish was terrific. All those bagpipes and the crowd and the .2 is flat. I knew a marathon in July was going to be difficult - thankfully this day was pretty cool. All the fellow runners were friendly and helped to make the miles seem to go faster. We had a good chuckle at one who stopped at his support vehicle for some water, told his companion hello and then lavished himself on his dog. I just wanted to send my thanks to all those who organized and vounteered to make this race a great experience. Hopefully I'll be in there next year.
